As you all know, Whatsapp has rolled out their latest update just a few days ago. The point is how many bugs have they fixed and what are the improvements included in this Whatsapp update? Well the official answer from the Google Play site is plain and simple as he doesn’t mention anything else other than.
Here are the Official Notes on the new version 2.9.3936 from Whatsapp developers on Google Play:
update user interface to the latest android look and feel
ability to purchase 3 yr and 5 yr service at discount
added support for vietnamese
many bug fixes and reliability improvements
The update supports Android phones running Android 2.1 and above. The interface now has a typical Whatsapp type, dull Greenish color. The smileys button which was previously on the top-right of the chat display, is now located on the bottom left in the new version. This should facilitate those who use the landscape mode of texting with both their thumbs. The picture below will give you a clear idea of the before and after update changes of the Whatsapp chat interface.

Finally for those who liked the old interface of Whatsapp, I don’t think you’ll have problems adjusting to the new interface. There have been no major changes like I’ve already mentioned, other than the new chat interface. The new version doesn’t cut out any of the old features offered by Whatsapp, on the same note, it doesn’t add any new feature either. All in all there is no harm in updating to the new version of Whatsapp, try it once and keep it if you like it or else roll back to the older version.
